The estimate that the perpetrators of the burglary brokering in Limassol in the early morning, are members of a spiral that has been working lately, said TAE Lemesos, Ioannis Sotiriadis.
In his statements, the director of the SAE Limassol, Mr Sotiriadis, on the scene of the burglary that occurred just before 4 o’clock in the morning, said that the way of action of the burglars has been observed in other scenes of burglary and attempted burglary.
” There is a spiral that has begun to work lately, and the Police and the Limassol Task Force are alert, “he added, adding that the moves of the perpetrators – two in number – have been recorded from the closed surveillance circuit within the store.”
The perpetrators, according to the closed circuit monitoring system of the jewelery, were two and hooded. After extracting various gold and valuables, the value of which is estimated at around EUR 80 thousand, they disappeared.
It is recalled that the perpetrators had covered the headlights outside the shop with aluminum foil and then turned the security cameras to a point where their movements were not recorded outside the store.
They were able to enter the shop using special tools by violating the lock, as well as a security tower controlled by a remote control, and then used ironworks to break a metal safety roll.
The burglars handed out a number of goldsmiths worth about 80,000 euros and disappeared.
It is worth mentioning that it sounded the alarm system of the jewelery which was connected to the mobile phone of the owner, who first arrived on the scene and then informed by the Police.
